Now no offence to you dog lovers alright, but right now I'm hating mine because she woke me up at 9:00am to call her name to come inside just so she could run off again dig in more trash and hide from me. Summary of what she's doing: PISSING ME OFF! AND TEH KEI IS NOT A PLEASENT PERSON WHEN HE GETS PISSED OFF! Especaily when he has to get up at f***ing 9am to look for a goddamn dog, I have been nice to this dog, over asnd over again, to see if it will get her to listen to me, nope she didn't even listen to the hand that feeds her my mom who repeatedly called her name nicely to see if she would come inside. Then my mom called me and asked me to get up and get her inside, well i'm pissed I got up and I shouted, "dog you better get your ass in this house" and my moms like "tell her she's good and that you'll give her a treat" I said "hell no, you think i'm gonna give a dog a treat for making me get up at 9am, not only that but she's digging in peoples trash, and being disloyal and ingreatful to and of her owner." Now siriously guys would you put up with this? I'm a cat person! *points to the kamineko hat on his head*

by the way sorry you guys had to see my badside, augh now i got a freakin headache.

I'm such an animal person that I gotta disagree. Part of having a dog is the responsibility of it. Wink

And 9am is EARLY!?? Talk to me when it's 4am. Wink

There's a 4am? Wow, I never knew that.

I hear you though, had the same problem at one time. My sister begged to get one of those dogs at Petsland that were from the pound. My parents let her and then a few months later, she goes to college and leaves the dog for me to take responsbility for.

I spent two hours one night chasing him all over the neighborhood because he dug his way out of the yard and went on a spree. Needless to say, I got my exercise for the week trying to keeping up with the beast. I loved when we finally got cats instead, just feed them and scoop their litterbox and they take care of themselves.

It's a dog...it works off of two motives. Hunger/reward and...fear/punishment. I now it sounds mean but in order to train a dog, you must punish it for what it's done. Now, there is an easy way to do this. Take a coke can and fill it full of pennies and tape it shut. When the dog does something wrong shake the can and spank it, just hard enough that it know's it getting spanked, bigger dogs need bigger spankings. The dog learns it's the can giving the spanking not you. Then soon all you have to do is shake the can to disipline the dog, it's really neat to watch.

And this isn't one of my hair brained ideas, I dated a dog trainer for a while and this is how she trained her dogs, it works.

Good day sirs and mams.

~gives Graillik a Doot point~ Unfortunate thing about families though is that you gotta deal with them. Other alternative is move out. Wink

That’s for sure man, its Pavlovian conditioned response. They associate the noise and can with punishment. The unconditioned stimulus being the Spanking the conditioned stimulus being the coke can. Once the association is made the can is actually the same as a spanking to a dog. But every once and a while if the dog is especially rambunctious you need to spank it along with the can. Because if you do not the conditioned response will under go extinction and it will no longer work. But really anything distinct enough to get its attention will work. It’s Science!
