I love this...I absolutely do. A man who spends 8 years plus perfecting his craft, learning the inner workings of a human being and is at any point on the verge of being sued in a frivalous law suit is not allowed to determine who is will work on and who he won't?
Are you out of your friggin minds? Many doctors have turned away high risk patients with heart, liver, kidney, nerve, brain, and other major ailments all the time. Why? Because the laws inplace allow the families of those that die on the table to go back even after a waiver is signed and attempt to sue for malpractice or other such problems. Complications also arise from certain surgeries and those can also be sued upon.
So explain to me how a man or woman who has put in the time and effort to his craft can not decide who he works for. If a builder doesn't want to build your house because your gay, do you sue him also? You want that new hand carved tea rack but the devoute Catholic won't sell it to you because you've had an abortion, do you sue her?
Get off your friggin high horse, your gay, not afflicted with the pox. There are plenty of gay doctors out there that will happily work on you. You can't get everything you want in life because you chose to be gay. Or you didn't choose, you were just born that way. Either way your a minority, and that's cool.
But if your asking for equal treatment under the law, I want it completely fair. I want us all to be graded on the same level. I don't want to lose my job out to a minority simple for a company to get a kick back for having a homosexual quota or black quota, or hispanic quota, horse quota, grapefruit quota, french-indian quota, or any other quota. We are all going to be treated exactly equal under the law. No more black or hispanic sholarships, the money should go to the best and the brightest no matter what color. No more Indian lands since all land should be taxed even though the settlers hunted them to extinction and used some of the most villianous tactics to kill them. No more special interest groups for gays or lesbians unless I can have the "Coalition of old white guys with money interested in keeping the money they earned off of their own intellect or talents."
Everything equal, no more race, religion, creed, color, or nation, everything equal. Does this even sound reasonable? Could this exist in reality? No, it can't. Biology dictates that there must be a constant struggle for life to continue. Only the strong adapt to the changing environments of earth, and humans are no exception.
"Well we're not animals." Ya, Explain that to the Darwins that swear by it. You don't believe in God but do in evolution. Then guess what you believe in Natural Law and are subject to it.
Back to the topic. It's ridiculous for you to ask for health care that you didn't pay for. The more and more I hear about this crap the more it sounds like someone is asking for someone else to do the work and get the payoff. That's not what this country was founded on. "Life, Liberty, and the PERSUIT of HAPPINESS!" It's out there if you want it, but you have to work for it. So go out there and get it, and quit bitchen when life gets a little rough.
"I cried that I had no shoes till I saw a man with no feet." You live in a country were you are in complete control of your destiny, but you have to work your ass off to get it. Don't like the way this is going, fight it, get out of your current situation, make shit loads of money, buy an island and start your own country, or buy an ad campaign to say what ever you want.
Howard Stern is one of the most powerful men in America, why? Talkshow making lots and lots of money. So much money he can go to Satelite radio and actually pull the sponsers with him to pay his increased, his increased, increased, salary. That is a business move that has never been done in history, and he's gonna do it. So get out there and bust it.
I know I seemed to ramble in this but I'm trying to show that the big picture is just made up of little pictures, and they all connect. Whenever something happens it affects everything around it. It is exactly like the ripple effect of a pebble thrown in a still pond, only we're talking about boulders thrown in a tempest, it still makes a difference. So next time you get hacked off at one thing, walk it all the way through and see what might be causing it other than your biased opinions and wants.
We're talking about money, pure and simple. And if you didn't earn it, then you don't deserve it. So go make your own.
My only question were is the black hebrew bi-sexual in a wheel chair? That dude has to be making phat bank of the government.
Long Live America. |

Actually yes, because it is called discrimination. Which is kind of against the law.
The thing is like the special grants and such for Indians and minorities. You are right, if they really were treated equally we would not need them. We would not have ass fuck racist business owners who won’t hire some one because they are black, or whatever. And the Indians have been lied to and murdered all through out United States history, so don’t you think they deserve a little bit for the physical, and cultural genocide we tried to commit? I mean at least now we have a half asses attempt to make amends.
You can deny it if you want, but being white is an advantage in America. And that is really sad.
Answer me this then, what exactly is it that seems to make homosexuals non-human? Because last time I checked they were just like me and you. And those doctors train to help and heal humans. Have they some how evolved a whole new arrangement of organs and tissues we don’t know about? And if you agree with me on that part, what exactly makes treating a homosexual different. It should not matter if you are gay, black, brown, purple, or a god damn sasquatch. Since helping people to poor to help themselves is wrong if they can pay they should be treated.
We have actually come to the point where we are once again legislating bigotry.
America has come to sicken me in many ways. |

You have a good yet very sad but true point here. When you think about it, if in the first place families weren't allowed to sue docs that tried so hard saving people's life 'till the very end, they wouldn't be down to making such laws. But hey, isn't the lawsuit America's national sport afterall?

I agree. See, for exemple, I am not against world founds, I sometime think it's very lil help but at least it makes a small difference ... yet if we were to take all that money invested in the military worldwide, it is said that we could feed every single human on this planet 3 meals a day, for an entire year ... sounds like a pretty darn Eden huh? yeah ... for the first 2 months maybe, but just you wait and see how unstable the balance of life would be after JUST ONE YEAR. I can't see how it could even go on for 10 years.
It's the harsh law of nature. Of course if I had anough spare change to give all the beggers a dollar, I would. But I don't. And I will rarely give to beggers, I will give to does that actually make some efforts, say, people playing music in the subway stations, fair tips to the employees of a restaurant when I'm pleased with the service I had, 'cause they deserved it! Yes many beggers die every year, but many miners die every year as well, is it more or less unfair? They both have lifes and at one point, they had a bad luck but hey, it's life.
Seems unfair ... it is ... who said life was fair?
We can do our best to try to change things, for the wellbeing of ourself and others. But before doing that, we must accept things as they are, as the reality that we live in, so that we won't be stuck with emotions of angst and outrage that could blur our path to make this place a better world.

Those who know themselves are englightened.
Those who know contentment are wealthy.
Those who are determined have purpose.'' |

well that brings up my final point. It is the fabric of society that is flawed, we need to go deeper and fix basic problems in society before we tackle the big ones. If the foundation is faulty, the house will always warp. |

I sure as hell would. Unless the person can tell me a valid and well-thought reason not to provide me with the service, then his behavior is unacceptable. The builder can't build my house? OK, why so? It better be because he's ill or because the area is too dangerous for a house to build on, because if I learn he chooses his customers based on which way they swing, I'm sorry but he's crossing the line. That applies for every shop and service out there. It doesn't matter whether other people will give you the service elsewhere. The fact is that there is someone in front of your face discriminating against you. One day, I'll stage a prank scene for you, where the employees in the shop will refuse to sell anything to you because they don't like the way you comb your hair. Just to see your reaction. I don't think you'll find it funny. |

Check the date on that article. April. While it's a poor move, it's also older than it looks. Perhaps the recent passing of Michigan's Proposal Two has brought it back to light.
And Blues, as bad as it is, you're not going to win one against GAAZ, simply because he has the power to 'teh click' you and can decide to use it whenever he feels like.
Don't bring down Mod's wrath on you both. |

Yeah. Discrimantion is a big problem, and one that I don't think we'll ever be able to get rid of. Some people just seem to inhernt a pig-headed mentally from their parents. I remeber one time, these girls came to sit at my lunch table, I didn't like them, and I wanted them to go away. So I told them I was bisexual, which is true. And then they left. All of them.
Geez, it almost seems like my genration has an inbred homophobic mentaillty. |
