I once read that the reason papercuts hurt so much is, since they're so shallow, they pretty much touch the tips of your nerves, causing all sorts of pain. A deeper cut usually doesn't hurt as much because it flat-out severs the nerves.
Anyone know if that was right? |

Sounds reasonable, But paper cuts are nothing. Cardboard cuts are so much worse. |

I don't get paper cuts on the tongue, but a lot of time hard candies (like Jolly Ranchers) will get sharp edges if you let them disolve in your mouth, and I get cut that way. |
