With all the talk about Ubisoft going on b/c of EA's attempted takeover, the rumor of them taking over VU Games, and the French government defending them against the EA takeover, there comes a pretty interesting poll on Gamespot.com...

Who would you most like to see in control of Ubisoft?

King of All Cosmos 1380 (14%) <-- hehe. Katamari Damacy anyone.

Interesting how King of All Cosmos is actually 2nd in the running.

I want UbiSoft to leave France altogether.

I can't believe I almost bought Splinter Cell and added funds to those froggish dogs.

I always knew there was a reason I hated all those Tom Clancy games...And it wasn't just because I suck at commanding 4 guys at once...It's France's fault!

Id rather Ubisoft were heading up Ubisoft. They may be frenchies, but they're good people. If the King of All Cosmos were heading it, he would just get smashed and blow it up into a million tiny peices and we'd have to see loading screens like this in KD2:

Yeah, Ubisoft should run Ubisoft. I mean, if EA headed them then wouldn't they be...EA? Regardless of what you may think of them, and they do have a pretty decent track record anyway, it takes all kinds of thought to produce all kinds of games. One thing I noticed in reading into the EA labor scandal was "If EA is wanting to 'Challenge everything' then why do nothing but sequels?" Seriously, if all games/products came from one major source we'd never get the Parappa's, the Burnouts, the Worms, and even the GTA's that bring something new to the table. The last new idea EA had was probably Madden.
Oh no, it was buying someone else's new ideas, my bad.

I have no problems with EA Owning Ubisoft.

It's like Microsoft owning Apple. Microsoft has little or no influence on Apple. But they are still the main shareholder in their company and all they do is reap the rewards if Apple ever turns a profit.

Now that Apple has learned they suck at making computers but are decent with hand-held technologies it was actually a good investment on Microsofts behalf.

Come to think of it... I dont think I have ever played an Ubisoft game I didnt like.

EA needs to stick to sports and quit whoring themselves out to the rest of the industry.
