I know I'm a little late on this one, but I just FINALLY saw Scarface! And I think it's such a GREAT movie!!!! I loved the whole Cubanness of it!! I just hope my cuban doesn't turn out like tony...hehe. Just kidding babe!  |

Yeah and why is that? Why is is totally essential for rappers to have this movie and shrines to this movie in their houses? I mean I know when I like a movie i'll go out and buy it and occasionally buy the poster, but I would never get as crazy as they do on Cribs....It's just dumb |

Rappers dig Scarface 'cuz he's sort of the epitome of the ultimate gangsta'. He had money, power, women, everything. He didn't take guff from no one. He didn't pretend to be anything he wasn't. He reprezzzented. He had his own values and convictions and stuck to 'em... also, he went out in a blaze of glory, heh. They dig that sort of thing.
I thought Scarface was good... but, man, for me, it's all about Godfather 2. The dramaaa! |
