Gah no s***! I mean darn, the only DS game that sales out there is Mario 64 DS and it's like, one game out of ... 5 or 6 available right now!? Not to mention that it is also the only game that seems to be using the most potential of the DS right now (I mean guys, have you seen Asphalt GT? >_> not impressing at all). Lame move, Nintendo, lame move. I bet they'd make money with the DS if they make remakes of N64 games like, say, Zelda 64 DS, PerfectDark DS, Starfox 64 DS, Mario Kart 64 DS :p
I personnaly am looking forward a remake/port of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the DS. |

Well they're certainly losing my sales... I've already busted way too much money of their damn handhelds nearly every year, when really they don't need to. I have purchased every single type of Gameboy to be released thus far. The original bulky unit, Gameboy Pocket, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, GBA SP... The latest purchase I thought, OKAY THIS IS IT, this is truly the pinnacle of pocket gaming right here, this thing is sexy and will last a while. What happened to that? Where is the 2D love? Nintendo inserts their supposedly "third pillar", but I'm sorry this aint a third pillar at all. It's a gimmicky excuse for innovation that no longer can be catagorized as a seperate entity from the Gameboy era. Why? It's still handheld, and it can play GBA games.
Call me old fashioned, but I see a limited time of popularity for how much they can milk out of 2-screen, touch/stylus and microphone gimmicks in games. It's the same concept behind far-fetched extended techniques in music. Beautiful music can be accomplished without doing things beyond the purpose of an instrument. Early composers do it to be different and in "rebellion" against the standard forms, but eventually realize that it was pointless and begin to establish their own personal styles in music making. Nintendo is desperately searching to make their games "unique" and "innovative," by introducing so many alternative ways to play.. though, when I think of unique and innovative games, I find that not one of them has done anything outside the norm when it comes to actually playing the game. It is in design, artistry and overal execution that a game can come forth as groundbreaking.
The DS is not a separate entity from the GBA. It is, in fact, a better handheld in both 2D and 3D regardless of the gimmicks. Why Nintendo insisted this wasn't the case is beyond me. |

Sheeesh it's barely been out. I'd start worrying if it stays the same or gets worse in a few months. |

Well they could look and be like well how many of these people who bought DS have SP? I didn't buy an SP but I have the first GBA. I skipped SP and got a DS since it was backlit and played GBA games. I now purchase GBA games which I didn't purchase before. Oh well. I can't spend enough money to help Nintendo lol.
= / I like most of the games that are out on DS... how many have you guys played? I won't say any of them are to die for or groundbreaking, but they are very fun!
I own:
The Urbz DS
I owned the one on XBOX after seeing Dustin play the GBA version on his computer. Nothing alike. Then I played Dustin's DS version and fell in love with it. It;s more convient to play it on the DS cause the bottom screen is selectable during gameplay so you don't have to pause to view your options. I'm sure Dustin would back me up on this. ^_^
Super Mario 64 DS
I own the original N64 version and of course loved playing it - all 120 stars of it! I'm happy they included multiple options for controls cause I have such a hard time with it not being like what's on the 64. I do like the bottom screen having a map. That would have been so helpful in the N64 version but it wasn't possible with that one. The minigames are awesome for when you only have a few minutes to kill for whatever reason. Friends who don't like video games tend to love to play the minigames. ^_^ And the multiplayer thing is so much fun! I was in a diff room playing with one of the tech guys in a diff room. AHHH! I love the wirelessness of it all!
Mr Driller Spirits
OMG that game is SO HARD!! Fun, but hard. I can only play it so long cause it gets frustrating trying not to get crushed. The dual screens on this game are only useful to an extent since you can only view one at a time easily. It's nice to know what gonna crush you from where you left but at the same time you are trying not to get crushed by things you just moved. >_< Dustin recommended the game to me and I do like it quite a bit since it is challenging. You have to avoid being crushed, get air and/or attack the bad guys (in diff mode) all at the same time. It's neat how you can challenge people but in this game unlike some others, you need two to five carts for it.
Sprung
Well you have to like dating sims in order to find this one fun. I unlocked most of the stuff but not all of it so I have to play it again. It's hard for me just cause you have to say the right things to people in order to progress in the game meaning you have to pay attention to how people act, what they say ect. I'm not good at doing that but the pepper spray is fun!! Greg played it for a lil while. I don't know what his thoughts on the game were.
Yoshi Touch 'N' Go
I'll update this later since it's not out here yet and you guys won't have a chance to play it until March.
Metroid Prime Demo
I haven't played it multiplayer but I do like the tutorial going on. Saves you time for when the game comes out I guess. On the other hand I really would like to play the full version and it should have been released already!!! The anticipation is getting to me!!!!!!!
I have played but don't own (yet):
Feel The Magic
This game is wacky and strange and fun from what I played. I don't own it yet but from the small amount I played I like it. ; ) |

Feel the Magic rocks hard. Two words: Mohawk lasers
Once Nintendo starts churning out some big titles things will sell. Mario 64 is hard to keep on the self, Ridge Racer is fun and Feel the Magic owns me. It's a shame Nintendo is taking their sweet time -_- I can see it going the way of the Dreamcast: Plenty of odd, fun titles in the long run but nobody gives a shit o_o |

I don't think that is true. The will ahve some good mainstream titles. But I also think they rushed it out so they could 1) be out by the holiday season and 2) beat the PSP out.
Either way, they need mre games. |

Myself, i'm wait for the new Advance Wars, Metroid and Castlevania. It's a shame that Nintendo did not have any real "killer app" for the release of the DS. |

What? A company rushed a product out the door before it was ready? Say it ain't so! Oh wait... I forgot... reality check bounce... it is Nintendo after all... and the PSP is not looking too hot either... but that is a hardware issue... time will tell... |
