He shows up along with Rukia's Brother at the end of Volume 6. He is kind of a dick then but as it progresses he's a pretty cool guy. He has a pretty bad ass fight in Volume 11 too. So if you have read Bleach at all and liked it, then you should get to the double digit volumes because the story gets better by leaps and bounds.
Also for those of you who have read a Kubo Tite work you know how he likes to give his characters theme songs. Well, Renji's is awesome you can get it from the site in this thread

Well, I've just read up to volume 5, which is what is out as of now. So he's another Soul Reaper along with Rukia's brother? |

5 is a good one. Yes he is a Soul Reaper (i forget that they changed Shinigami to Soul Reaper in the american relese, i have been reading the scanlations... till it got liscensened so now im am stuck till volume 11 hits here...) |

I'm no photoshop masta, but I think dai's talkin about Renji not jivin with the icons because of that clip on the left. With all the icons we have, it takes away from the pic. Not sure if that's what he's thinking, but it is what I am. Diggin the Etna on the desktop, though. You're awesome, Shinigami! |
