Yeah, but with the definitions of "right" and "wrong" being rather fluid depending on who holds the purse strings, I could be model citizen in this world, but if some Orwellian government takes over, then I'm a danger to the thought police. This is why we prefer to have certain rights spelled out that are, at least in theory, "inalienable".

But there's very little likelihood, even if this is real legislation, that it will pass both the Senate and the Court.

And, technically, if they allow the use of such a practice, someone could simply use the prepared technology to his own ends, spoof himself as Microsoft, and delete everyone's computers and get away with it.

If it's true, and if they don't throw the idea straight down, then it's condemned to get cancelled sooner or later because I can just see how easy it would be to exploit such a thing.
