July 07, 2005 - Ain't It Cool News claims that the role of Warren "Angel" Worthington in X-Men 3 has been cast. According to AICN, Nick Stahl (last seen in the comic book movie Sin City as the Yellow Bastard) has won the role.
Stahl's credits include Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Bully, The Thin Red Line, and the HBO series Carnivale. Ironically, he starred opposite James "Cyclops" Marsden in Disturbing Behavior.
Stahl, however, is also attached to star in the big-screen version of A Cool Breeze on the Underground, which was reportedly set to film this summer. Perhaps Stahl, if these X3 rumors are true, will film both projects back-to-back.
In related news, Contact Music reports, via The Sun, that twin tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams "are both desperate to branch out into the movie world, by playing a bisexual prostitute in the film sequel. ... Serena is tipped to win the coveted role, because she reportedly dated the movie's director Brett Ratner."
This character likely is the mutant hooker known in the comics as Stacy X.
