DA annoys me though. It's like they put up the art theives on pedsetels and harass the innocent artists. Like one time long ago, I had made three wallpapers, and they took them down for "copyright infringment", even though I credited where I got the pictures from. They did it to my friend of one of her Sailor Moon coloring book edits, too. It's reallly annyoing. |

The first one will be kind of difficult. I believe she ripped them--the image quality is so poor, and people that produce that level of digital artwork know how to control their image quality.
As for the hentai dude, we should be able to get the hentai pictures taken down immediately--pornography is not allowed on DA. The cat picture I've seen before; I'll post it on 4chan and see if I can get someone to identify the artist =)
Although I agree with Daijaga and Shurikane--hunting ripped artworks shouldn't be a personal crusade, unless it's your artwork their ripping =) I usually never leave comments on the artist's page at all. It just gives them an idea of who reported them, and then they come back and bother you. Or their friends do. "Torches and pitchforks," indeed  !

I hate to be a nay-sayer, but technically that is copyright infringement. Specifically, "unauthorized art re-use," which means you didn't get permission from the original artist. There's no dispute that you did put a lot of work into those wallpapers, and your friend put a lot of work into her Sailor Moon edit, but it's against copyright laws to post them anywhere, and DA doesn't want to get in trouble for it, which is why they remove pictures like that. Post them on your own website, at your own risk; don't put DA at risk. |

No dear, we're not doing anything wrong.
There is large differance between taking a paint can and changing colors, than there is of just using a BASE POSE. Which is what we do. Or at least I do. I take picture, trace the pose only, fill in the rest. That's not copyright infringment by ANY MEANS, and no jury would ever say it would. Anyways, you can tell the people who do coloring book edits, all severl hundred of them, to do that. But it's not illegal. At all. That's just end of the line. If it was, well now. I woulnd't have reached 701 deviations would I?
Anyways, it's IMPOSSIBLE to get persmission for that sort of thing, people need to understand that too.
And I'm not arguing (people ALWAYS think I'm aruging with them), I'm just stating my very vaild point.
And BACK TO THE MAIN POINT.
His "O.O Fasumi" Devaiton was removed for excess hentai content.

I already found a source for the "Yumi" picutre, and now I'm working on the others. The current dev looks like it's from "Izumo" though, and we all know "her" Azumanga Daioh picture is an ACTUAL piece of artwork from the anime. |

I've taken care of the Azumanga Daioh pic. That was too easy ! As was the "YUMI" pic, it's from a dating sim called "Hourglass of Summer". I almost feel sad that I didn't even have to look that one up o.o''
I'm not going to argue with you (otherwise this is very quickly going to turn into a pissing contest). But here's what it says in the DA policy:

The only thing is that the majority of edits are done with "coloring book blanks". Which basicilly IS anime stock. Anyways....
Yeah, I saw that was where the Yumi one was from. I mean, it even LOOKS like a magazine scan, which is just SAD.
But yeah, I am a little too tempermental for my own good. I'll just stick to the statment of "this isn't yours" on the actual dev. Cause people need to know.

A picture can only be defined as stock if the original artist states that it is public liscence; just because some bored internet user takes anime pictures, whipes the color off of them, cleans them up, and makes the available for download doesn't make it stock =)
