Yea...i can't wait to see this movie. FFVII was the first FF game i played and probably the first game i ever beat. So it carries with it a lot of memories.

*explodes in anticipation*

No owrries Girkon, theres too much money to be made off of remaking old games with new graphics for them not to do it. Chrono Trigger, FF7, Secret of Mana, all of these will be redone in time - I feel like. Theyve already got solid storylines, fleshed out characters, move lists, and a host of other behind the scenes work done, so remaking them is pretty economical considering the retro gamer bracket alone, wholl all jump in anticipation of replaying their old favorites in a new way.

I dont think the movie was as good as diajaga says it was, but then again i didnt think FF VII was uber good either...

But the graphics were very wonderfully dony, the music was awsome, features some remixes off the Black Mages CD as well as Piano collection, or maybe the PC music was on the anime thing before hand i can't remmeber exactly. Oh yeah the best part was my MST3k commentating on the movie, ask Ultrawolf about that Laughing

Yea I think all our quips during the movie helped make it much more enjoyable than it should have. Damn Gamesharking Cloud. *shakes fist*

Seriously, I think FF7 is alright. Advent Children was alright as well. Nice action, but definitly a popcorn flick as far as movies go. If you don't like FF7 odds are you will only pay attention to the fight scenes and won't enjoy it aside from that.

You cant deny that you've seen better CG than this though >_<! And The fight scenes are bar-none! I mean, those two facts alone make it a sweet deal even for a casual watcher.

I mean, Im obviously biased, but the action in AC was hot.

Agreed 100%. I watched it for the first and second time last night, and am currently watching it again. Its hot, I regret never finishing the game, I got pretty much through the first disc but never got around to finishing it because I lost my psx memory cards shortly there after. After seeing the movie though I fully intend on going back and playing the game, as soon as Daijaga finishes going through it again.

Well yea, the action kicked ass but as far as a movie goes it was lack luster. CG was top notch, Action kicked ass, Like I said, It's a Popcorn flick ^^. Odds are most people won't care about storyline so much as "Man that was badass"

As far as replaying the game, you'll regret it.
Cloud's incredibly overrated as far as rpg characters go.
I would have much rather enjoyed a Vincent movie, or a movie based around the side characters.

This is true, I wish they gave the story on what the other characters had done through the years. I think Nanaki had 1 line through the whole flick.

I was very dissapointed about that.
From the promotional material I was expecting more scenes and lines from secondary characters like Nanaki, At least Vincent had a few scenes.

The movie was already 1:40 minuts long, not counting what was cut out of it. Making a flick like that takes a lot of cash, Im really surprised everyone got as much screen time as they did. I just wish Cait Sith would have bothered to accomplish something. Everyone else gets in some hits, but Cait just lames it the whole time.

Dotn listen to UW, Faye. After all, you thought Squall was a good character. Cloud is Squall with a personality and feelings - two things the taciturn SeeD cadet lacked in volumes.

Except Cloud's really just *spoilers*

A zack wannabe with delusions of grandeur. Zack is infinitely cooler than Cloud. Infinite!

*end spoilers*
