well, for simplicity's sake, you just have to say "That are red." This automatically includes gold cards that have red in the casting cost.
Secondly...if you are looking for broken-ness, make it so it blows up all red creatures, as well as deals damage to players. Then its just annoying.
His downside is that he can kill himself though, which is a balancing factor.
