Goddamnit I fucking hate my job. Now heres where the problem lies, finding somewhere that will hire me full time and work around my school schedule. I'd step down from my position into an easier one if it didn't come with a $1/hr paycut. |

see thats the problem. Good luck finding a job that is flexible enough to pull you in 40hrs and allow you the right times for school. Short of part time or an office job. Id say you are stuck. Except you have enough mornings available now that you could take a class or two and get away with it. Means no more staying up till 3-4am and waking up at 12-2pm |

I only stay up till 3 becuase it takes me that long to wind down after work and its just natural to stay up that long since i close 3~4 nights a week.
Now another option even though I dont want to do it, is retire and use my retirement money to float rent moneys while I'm in school and work part time to pay for living expenses. |

I fully understand the situation. Just letting you know that you'd have to ((even if you quit your job and grabbed the shares) Which is a very bad idea! ) go pretty much to bed on school nights with no chance to wind down.
Not saying it can't be done. Just saying you have to go about it the right way. |

go find your nearest barnes and nobles.
Never before have i seen a store tailor itself to the needs of the employees. I know that whenever the semester starts, i tell them how many hours i wanna work, and what days i have school, and they make fairly decent hours for me.
Though, this is part-time work...when the summer comes along, im full time, but during school, im pretty much part time. Also, with (what im guessing) your experience, they can make you a lead over there and possibly get you started a bit higher than the other starting booksellers.
Just an idea...dunno if you have any near you. It's what id say is the best route to go...especially since i work at one. If anything, you can even put me down as a reference!

That is what one of my ex-roomates did. He took a student loan to pay for school and some expenses. Goto school for 2 semi's and them not take and summer classes and work his ass off to save $. |
