Okay. But there is something that's really starting to get on my nerves.
The other artists that entered are now having a whine-fest on the forums because they don't think that my entry should have won. A few people have said that they were disappointed, and now a couple of them are attacking it because they say it's too "sexy." Here are some quotes:

It should be quality over content, not the other way around. I was really dissapointed to see the lack of votes on some of the entries, such as pocki aki's, the drawing was really well done! But i think i was the only one to vote for it!? If i dare say it without being flamed, i would say it was drawn much better than the one that won the contest. But alas i guess it could not compare in content, or at least in some people's minds. =\
And i was not saying that the one that won this contest was totally sexual or anything, but im fairly confident in saying that it is more sexual than some of the other entries were. I mean she is practically wearing lingere o_O

Jeez >_<;; What sore losers. You deserved to win and you won fair and square. As for all that about pics of lesser quality with sexual content winning more versus high quality pics without sexual content is just utter nonsense. ^o^ Your drawing was just as well done as the rest. Sure the pick may be sexy but there's nuthing wrong with that. >>;; Not like she's straddling stuff naked.  To me the pic looks very girly and feminine. Besides so many people wear costumes like that to cons. lol Best thing to do is ignore them. It sucks that they can't be graceful losers though. |

I think honestly, I few of them were just disappointed that they lost, not meaning to be rude to me or anything (although, actually, they don't know who I am ! I've stayed anonymous through this whole thing, and I didn't sign my piece), but....they could have been a bit more graceful about it.

Thanks, Tuski! <3 Personally, I thought all of the entries were really good. And what's really sad is that I voted on Cherry, the girl that said my pic was a low quality. X)! She has no idea, though. OH man, she's making herself look like an a$$. X)!

lol, Thank you! That's what I thought (that it was just really girly). And Max also brought up the point that people wear less than that in cosplays. And you know what? One of the people that attacked me for being "too sexy" (Kendra) has a link to her cosplay in her signiture, and guess what? She's wearing next to nothing. X)!
So, yeah. I'm kind of anonymously defending myself, and for the most part I hope this just blows over. My worst fear is that they disqualify me for it >.> but oh well, if it happens, it happens. |

Yeah, I just looked at the thread (I'm so l33t with my board skills I found it. xD) and I think really they're just being sore losers. I noticed that it was on a thread started by one of the artists that was being particularly avid (Cherry) about yours not being better, etc. What a surprise that she's putting yours down there. |

Omg  I just tracked down the site like Shandriz and I found Kendra's cosplays you were talking about. Not only are both wearing stockings the first one has garters holding them up. Plus like you said next to nothing clothing! This amuses me greatly. lol If they disqualify you us PO's could bombard them with emails?  |

Oh no, they haven't said anything about it. But I am concerned that they might, if so many people raise a fuss about it. There wasn't any kind of fuss about the contest last year; I'm kind of worried that they'll see this and think it would be better to remove it. >.> |

If they do that it would kind of negate the reason to have a contest wouldn't it? I mean if they are just going to say you know what this one won but we aren't going to use it because people whined so much about it...that would most likely bring in even more problems than a little whining. Personally I see nothing wrong with the pic. Yes it is sexy but in a very classy way. The reason your're picture won? Because it was the best duh. If you get DQed there will be trouble.... |
