That's cool. ^^ Shino lives in Roswell (and I live with him on weekends, essentially) and really, we usually have it somewhat close to that area anyhow, as I know Doot, Ultrapuppy, Gaaz, Unastrike, PRG, and all live very close to the area too.
There are usually around 40 or so, right? I think we had like 30-something last year, and this year it'll probably be bigger, as it seems to get bigger every year.
We usually hold it during the middle weeks of December. I think it was on like, the eleventh or so last year. We don't want it during the actual holiday, but close to it. |

Ok, so about 50 ppl thereabouts...that's usually a good number to go by...is there a specific budget to stick to? My clubhouse is just a $50 deposit (that they give back if you clean up, etc.)
I can just ask about what you do about parking...never paid much attention.
My house itself is WAY too small for even 30 ppl, but the clubhouse could take it. If not, some public venue might have to work...but that will cost more to secure.
I can test my connections @SPSU to see what could be done. |

About how long does it typically take to get an official PO avatar?
I've been going through the member list to see what all is available...and to mainly give me ideas on what some of the features would look like.
I'm about 90% on the character design and 70% on the outfit.
Keep in mind, I have NEVER had a custom art piece before |

Well, it depends on the character and the workload. As it is right now...I don't know. There aren't many orders to work on right now, but...Honestly, with Doot getting married, I know she's busy this month...and I guess it depends on who does your art and what they have going on. If it's not Doot doing your art...I'd predict, like, a month at the most? Somewhere around there. But don't take my word for it, as I'm not an artist and I don't know, at the moment, what all is on their plates.
<3 If you can't think of specifics, just give the artists and idea. They'll send you a sketch, and if you don't like something, you can ask them to fix it. |

I sympathis. When I first really wrapped my head around what they did here, I had too many ideas. Im an avid D&D dungeon master so I had scores of my favorite villians in my head, tons of character ideas. I finally decided that I would never be satisifed with any one of the things I could think of - so I decided on a design that was more like me in a way.
The d20 flail was a cute idea I had that paid homage to my dungon mastering, the bear spooky is my real life teddy bear (he sits on mah compooter) and also is a nod at one of my favorite old dnd games with Faye and Graillick (both members), and I threw in the skull and bones on my hoodie cause I do love me some pirates.
So anyway, thats how I came up with mine, I took elements of things I liked and blended them into one thing. Thats the best way I think - so you get a PO that really is iconic of you. Of course, if a certain roleplay character really personifies yourself, then thats fine too - a lot of POs have their favorite characters made, but I cant relate that expereince. |
