WellI leave tomorrow at 530 for Ca tomorrow morning. My grandfather died last week whic hI feel kinda bleh about, but I'm happy that he's out of suffering, I just wish I could find a way to get to Ca for something other than a funeral. It's been I think 4 years or so since I had a vacation out there, and I miss it.

Just take it easy man. One step at a time, and don't let anything get you down. It'll be nice to see some familiar faces and I'm sure your grandfather would be happy to know you came out to see him off. The weather will be nice hopefully, it usually is this time of year where I think you are headin'.

Well I'm back. I have to say yay for Jack-in-the-box and the boardwalk.

We all had a drink for my grandfather sunday night, a good friend of the family and my aunt went to the liquor store and bought a bottle of my grandfathers favorite whiskey, oh man, it reminded me of how much i hate whiskey and how much i love my dear bacardi.

all in all, the service was good, the hardest part of course being the 21 gun salute and taps.

It sounds like your grandfather got an admirable sendoff.
He's in a better place and as you said, he's not suffering. I had the same sort of feeling and reaction when my own grandfather died. Hang in there.

I'm doing alright and now after this trip I want to move back more than ever. My parents and older half sister are even talking about moving back as well.
