I was messing around searching for content on alura une, the plant demon seen frequently in the newer castlevania games, and I came across this link.
http://www.ccgr.org/modules.php?name=MReviews&op=show&rid=630
It starts off as a decent review, but when you get to the end it gets a little rediculous. Maybe it's just me, but I think the review is just a little....fanatical. |

Well, sadly, there are different types of Christians; and, yes, some go overboard. You get some that are like that: "Oez noez! This game has kids inflicting harm on objects (animate or in-animate)" Typically the same people "preach" that drinking alcohol is a sin as well as most other things that can be abused.
It's just sad and I hate the fact that they represent Christianity to the rest of the world. |

It's also really poorly written. *weeps* Including many undead...including monsters.... I want to hit them with my grammar book.
They also think using big words (inundated) makes them seems smarter, but with poor writing, it doesn't matter how big your words are, dummy!
Edit; I also like how he says that a game with vampires has no sexual innuendo.
And that there's nudity, but no sexual innuendo. |

Personally, I HATE reviews broken down into the format its written in, people have suggested Gamepulse using it, but I've flat out refused.
Wether its because of the format, or because the guy just doesn't know what he's doing, it doesnt flow, and doesnt keep you wanting to read. By the end of the first paragraph under the heading "So Whats the game like?" (Which is what the review is about anyway, moron!) I was yawning and wanting to just stop reading.
my stuff is by no means perfect, but one bit of advice I always give out is to find a review of a similar type of a different game to the one your reviewing and generally use that to make sure you at least cover all improtant parts in an interesting manner, and also to use sites with professional games journalists. |

You guys wanna know something funny?
A Christian reviewer gave PSO excellent scores simply because the game worked around the idea of magic by calling them "techniques" instead. |

I'm not impressed with it just by seeing the title of the site. And the review only reinforces that idea. All the stuff that would be important is given a couple short paragraphs, and the part that's nonessential to a game review gets several paragraphs decrying its occult themes.
Please, write the review first as if it were for a major game magazine, then you can add on any ideological biases you might have. |

The reviewer forgot to mention that they had to burn their GBA after playing it and had to pray that all Belmonts would one day find Haysoos.

LOLZOR!! Well, I'm glad I actually found something that sparked a conversation. Is it a coincidence that I found this just hours after watching an anti wiccan infomercial broadcast by a christian network. I had to watch because it was so entertaining. One of the women speaking had the title "Occult Expert" under her when she was talking. What makes her an occult expert? They were talking about how wiccans use promises of power and fun games and toys to lure children into the "dark magic" of wicca. I wasn't suprised to see Harry Potter board games displayed several times throughout the infomercial.
The one thing that gets me is that these people claim to promote love in the world, but damn you if you don't believe in there god or follow there ways. You'd have to be an absolute moron to think that everyone will believe what you do. That's even the basis of most governments. Democracy is based on the fact that people will disagree. It's seems that they won't accept this fact when it comes to religion. Now that they've stepped on my precious video games, the GLOVES COME OFF!!!. |
