I went to see this last Friday. It was quite a visually and aurally stimulating movie. It's the story of the "fountain of youth" or the tree of life from the garden of Eden that is sought to give the drinkers of its sap everlasting life.
It's a dark tale (by the same director of Requiem for a Dream) that stars Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz. It's been jeered in Europe from what I've read but I think it's an absolutely amazing movie. It's heavy fare but well worth it. I must must must get the soundtrack. |
