Cooking with Ramen - <the kitchen of the broke>

Ok, so Disco Diva and I just scoured our cabinets and we had our uber box of ramen and various small things left to make something decent. But we decided to just go with the traditional dish.

But this sparked the culinery curiousity in me. And Sakura can tell you, we come from a long line of excellent cooks (Sakura is killer in the kitchen much like her big sis - we create dishes)

And well, being a bit on the strapped for cash end, Ramen tends to be a cheap fix and delicacy for 20 somethings, college students, general broke folk.

So I found something.

I think that everyone between the ages of 18 and 24 has a big 'ol bow of ramen in their closet! It's one of those rules of being young and broke. Thanks for the recipes, cause, as much as I like ramen, it CAN get boring after a while. And it's ALL about the cooking! Best dish that I can make would have to be stir fry chicken. Of course, how can you go wrong with stir fry?

OHMY GOD I LOVE HUMMUS!

AND JUMBALAYA! I'm incredibly hungry now for some reason.

Well I make a wicked variety of lasagna's.

Meat loving type, a serious vegetarian lasagna.

There's so much you can do with a good lasagna.

A couple of my other faves to make is an enchilada casserole and tuna casserole.

Most of my dishes are aimed towards feeding lots of people as you can tell. Smile

I thought humus was some kind of earth! o.O;;; Bad memories.

Hmm, ramen. The food of the cheap. For 33 cents, you get to eat a huge bowl of beep, chicken, or vegetable soup! Razz

Quite a change from my sautéed Worcestershire sauce scrambled eggs. Sautéed because I put the fire too high and wanted to keep the eggs from burning, Worcestershire sauce because I had nothing else on hand, and scrambled because in my panic, I totally gave up the idea of doing normal eggs.

The result: an odd combo of scrambled eggs with a nice taste of Worcestershire sauce.

I am so glad ramen noodles can even be eaten raw!!
