yes, but it makes me cry when its so damn well unstable that it crashes every time I use it =( (I run a games server that uses a java based control panel and it's horrible) |

Those of you who have mIRC or X-Chat and tend to leave their computer on all the time can pop in the chatroom and remain there whether someone's actually at the keyboard or not.
It's hard to explain here on the forum but this way of doing things tends to make convos spark from literally nowhere.  |

There are builds of X-Chat that are free. The official windows build is not, as far as I know, but there are other builds that are. |

The free version of Trillian also has IRC support, as far as I am aware. I have a legit copy of Pro, myself, but I think Basic still does IRC - it says so on C|NET, but that's not always reliable. |

It's been ages since I used Trillian, but I do believe that even teh free version has IRC.
Not sure though either. |
