I work with them on a daily basis and they are trash. Our company found out why they are trash too. It has both Windows and Palm OS software on one PDA/Phone so the two OS's conflict constantly. |

As long as you don't try to install too many third party software onto the PDA you should be fine. I'm not sure if it's our software but if a call comes in while working in it the PDA kicks you out of the program entirely. |

That happens with most devices simply b/c they aren't smart enough "Smartphones" to dual-task. At least now, you can be playing a game and it just gets paused if you get an incoming...of course sometimes its just user error when you lose the program. 
I do like my Blackberry...they're build to withstand dropage  The hoster may soften up, making you spontaneously drop it, but its got a good plastic coating on it...hehe
And Metal-housed Motorolas are good. Samsungs are like kiddie phones they're so plastic in a bad way. Nokia's, ok...LG is getting there. Seimens kinda dropped off the map...Sony Ericsson is sporty cheese...Treo just has never worked right...and thanks to you Gaaz, I know why. |

Yeah that's about as into phones as I go is when I work with them.
I tend to treat my cell phone like a phone in that it cost me $20 and doesn nothing but send and receive calls.  |

I'm on a bare-bones employee plan for my Motorola KRZR where you get next to nothing in features...but its free so who cares. They treat us like crap...I had to buy my phone from CompUSA when they were going out of business just so I could get a better discount...
I get a lot of use out of my Blackberry though...since it's my company leash that I don't pay for, I'm more than happy to use it for all the fun stuff like email and internet...and nice to play Brickbreaker too.
I kinda have to be more into phones being who I work for...but the whole company could do a better job selling all the fancy stuff if they'd actually let us at least try it for a while. I'm way behind in what we can do now with phones simply b/c I'm not in the job where I have as much exposure to them. I'm tempted to start showing up for the equipment meetings just so I can play with the demo models hehe  |
