As odd as it sounds, I'm a shy, social butterfly. I know it doesnt really make sense, but its true. =\ |
Nah, I can see that.
I was sort of the same way, although in a different sense; I was very social outside of high school, and had plenty of friends, but at school I wasn't popular at all and there were very few people I got along with.
Oh, and I'm not to the ten year mark yet XD My five-year is next year. |

Yeah, I think school is just a means to get you to figure out what you're good enough at to make money off from.
I liked Science but realized I could do a lot more with my writing skills....so I write proposals for a living...
I get a good laugh out of how your grades really don't amount to much of anything in the end for most.
You make your grades in HS to get into college...you make your grades in college to get into grad school. And most don't bother w/ grad school. Unless you were at the top of your class, its not even worth mentioning on a resume...and when it boils down to getting a job, no one really cares what your GPA was as long as you can do the job. |

i am looking forward to mine....i can hardly wait for it since i wanna see who fucked up their life and who rose up. i also want to see the fireworks when they see how i have changed and leveled out (although on one note i am more nutz...PH34R D33Z |\| |_| 7Z!) and that my ideas are more realistic. just wish i had finished one paper i was composing in HS called USSA: the rise of Socialism in America because i am being proven right on the points i had in that...fun to compare past predictions from HS to current day.
i arrived late and did not know anyone in the HS i grad'ed from so i just wanna see who remembers me as well. I wish i could go to the HS reunion for my first hs....those people need to be hit with ye old brain frier know as my wit. |

There were only a few people I cared about from there but I still talk to them. I will not pay to meet the people that I never talked to. |

My 10 year reunion is coming up Oct. 20th, and I'm still undecided. I sort of want to go, to see what everyone is up to, but at the same time a lot of the people confirmed to go, I dont know personally very well, just in passing. I got along with all of them fine, no issues, but I wouldnt consider any of them friends. Only 1-2 people so far are people I would consider friends.
I'm just wondering if anyone went to thiers who may have been in the same boat as me, and how it turned out for you guys.
Should I go? (its $55 a person until June 30th, after that its $65 a person..so this too is a factor) |
From what I've been told, high school reunions is basically just an excuse for a bunch of people to have a "shmuck or brestki measuring contest".
I suggest if you decide to go, borrow a friends "tragic car", style yourself in "post-modern Goodwill", and stand out from the crowd of rental BMWs, and fake Armani & Rolexes |
