That reminds me of something I saw in a Japanese slang book. Most of what I found funny about the book was actually the English versions they provided. Insults like he's a drugstore cowboy, whatever that means.
One of them was something like "his face is uglier than a Pekingese Sneeze" referring to the type of dog I think.
