Folklore - PS3

I have to say so far, I really, really like it. A game to make my PS3 worth playing. I'm only about 2-3 hours in, but so far there is a lot for me to do, and I'm still in Chapter 1 for the girl. I havent even messed with the guy's story yet.

Graphically its gorgeous. The controls are pretty good, and I like how the abilities work. The sounds are nice and clean as well.

If you arent into buying a new game, definitely do yourself a favor and at least rent it to check it out. So far, I am highly impressed. If it stays on the same path, it will be well worth the money.

I'll let you know what I think after I get deeper in. Mr. Green

I picked it up Wed Scisci.

I agree with everything you said. I love the way this game works too.

You go up Ranks, which pretty much just increase your HP. Then, the Folk that you absorb can go up "levels" by releasing their Karma.

I also really like the idea of the picture book. You find pages and they show you the best way to take out the larger folk and the Folklore.

Just ... very good ideas all around.
I do wish there was more speech. It's not like they were out of room or something. And the "circus" music when you're fighting regular enemies gets ... old ... fast.

Graphically... it's down right Beautiful. When you get into these open fields of colorful flowers ... just incredible.

I'm at the Folklore for the first realm. I'm actually going back right now and unlocking some of my Folks karma. Mainly b/c I'm not sure if you get to revisit a realm after you've completed it.

But yeah... this game is awesome. Must buy for Action/Adventure game lovers!

The speach I dont care about lol. Most games have such horrible voice acting, that I am happier when there is less, though this game isnt bad really.

I just beat the first folklore last night, and after seeing what I needed to see, it put me out back by the Faery Lord guy area, so I saved there before quitting for the night. Before I leave (if I get the option) I too plan to portal back to the beginning and unlock the Karma's as much as I can.

And I definitely love the picture book hints on how to capture/beat the folks and folklore.

I played the demo... Loved playing with the chick. Didn't enjoy the guy as much. I don't know why, I guess the whole long range type thing was like fighting with Pokiman.

I can't say I liked Warcadia all that much... but the third realm... Scisci... have you gotten there yet. It's freakin' beautiful. And the music got better too!

Something else I found out this weekend.

Therin started playing it too, but he's playing with Keats!
The story is TOTALLY different.
Not only that, but as Keats, you actually get different Folk to work with.

In the Feary realm... Keats and Ellan only share like 3 of the same Folk. The rest are different.

Talk about replay value... it's like having 2 different games in one box.

If you have a PS3, and you like adventure games... you NEED this game!

Heh, well I am playing both at the same time, since you get to choose each chapter.

I play Ellen first, then Keats. And I did this in purpose because I wanted to see how thier stories intertwined. I've beaten Chapter 2 on Ellen, I am able to do Chapter 3 for her, but I am halfway through Chapter 2 on Keats.

I like them both for thier different reasons. I'm definitely enjoying the game still though.
