well, i was in walmart, and i saw it, and i said to myself "I needed to play some good xhoot-em-up" so i made a deal with my folks, and i finally got the game...and OH MY GOD what an amazing game it is!!!
Ive been a fan of the old school unreal tourny, but ive never had the capabilities that i have in this game. Its amazing.
First thing i have to comment on, is that they brought back most of the weapons from the last game, and made some modifications to some weapons...such as the sniper rifle to the lightning gun. Also, the new Adrenaline moves are quite intersting to execute, using things such as the speed adrenaline boost, to the most unfair Boost adrenaline combo, which makes you gain life back over time, for the expense of adrenaline. And finally to top it off, the gameplay is amazing, including the new mode bombing run.
Anyways, im sure everyone here has already seen or played the game, but i just had to get that off my chest. Feel free to respond to my ceasless ranting

I love UT2k3, best shooter, EVAH! Beautifully balanced, awesome level design and it plays like a dream. |

I was with Tobs when he bought his copy. He was searching the shelves and couldn't find it anywhere. Then, out of nowhere I looked down, and there was one copy sitting on top of a pile of games on a low shelf. I think this had something to do with divine intervention. Anyway, we didn't know how much it was since it didn't have a price sticker, so we were looking for another copy, but couldn't find one ANYWHERE. At any rate though, the game is just as it's name indicates, Unreal.

Personnaly I prefer BattleField 1942, but I just can't wait for the Terrorism: Fight For Freedom Mod that'll be out for UT 2k3!!!

im thinking of making a mod for UT2k3, that resembles tag. What happenes is that someone randomly gets the shock rifle, and thus, he is "It." everyone else has a shield gun, and they have to avoid the dude with teh shockrifle. It would be real cool!!! i think im gonna make it ASAP
what does everyone think of that mod?
also, just a quick rant on the game: I have to say, its amazing, but one thing i liked A LOT about old school UT was the invasion type of thingy, where one team got dropped off on a beach shore, and had to work their way into the enemy base, and blow up a huge cannon, while the other team attempted to thwart them from doing so. Truely a great type of gameplay, but they got rid of it and put in bombing run, which aint that bad |
