aaah, gotta love that feeling, the feeling you have when you get your Yellow belt is something different then when you get any other belts I think (well, in Kodokan Judo it is, since it's the first belt you get, I think in karate it is too).
Nice job! And remember, black belts are just white belts that never gave up  |

I think the belt system changes from Dojo to Dojo. for ours it is the third belt we have a yellow striped belt and then a black striped belt first. For me it's not any less special then the first as it has been a year between my last promotion. Of course belts are a recent addition to Martial Arts from what I understand they started using them in the 50s or maybe a little earlier, so people who weren't as commited could see their progress and would stay, or something like that. |

not bad martial arts is a big amount of respect to take on. I have been studying the arts too with an old family friend of mine he cool and all and he is quite learned in tharts, but he is a puerest for the old ways so it's really time and mential consumeing |

O please, enough with the :bow2: ^_^;; , I didn't make that up! It's just an old Tai Kwen Do (I always mispell it) saying that I really really really really really like and beleive in for, like you said happo, it is very true.

To BWS-1: still deserve the praise!
To Ultrawolf: Good stuff! Decent bread, flavorful cheese, and fresh fruit (plus coffee and juice!) was my typical breakfast when overseas.
To DarkStalker: Traditional is WAY hard (spirituality and character takes time to build) but I hope you stick with it! Your friend should be praised for even attempting to preserve the old traditions. *Happo falls of his soapbox and quickly brushes himself off, acting as if nothing happened...* :blush: |
