ok here goes...
I am personally seconding Skies of Arcadia for this reason. IT IS THE BEST RPG EVER MADE. TIED WITH PANZER DRAGOON SAGA AND PSO. Sorry all you FF fans. I love the games, but they can't touch these 3 in my eyes. Unfortunatly, you can't nominate more then one game, so I have to stick with Castlevania, otherwise I would nominate all 4.
We have:
Castlevania SOTN
Chrono Trigger
FFVII
FFX
Gunstar Heros
Ico
Skies of Arcadia
Tetris
We have 2 more spots. No Zelda game has actually been seconded. So I'm waiting to hear about that. |

I'd second a Zelda game, but I've already used up any and all voting power and ability I might have had with FFX and Crono Trigger. I do not regrett it, though! God, I love those games! And to answer your question AzVegeta, yes, it can be the PS version with the very yummy cut scenes.
Also, I just want to say that Cobi and I RULED SKYS OF ACRADIA! We took that game and beat it down so bad the progamers felt it! I mean, the hardest discovery that you can find in that game, the one that takes people DAYS to find we found in 4 MINUTES. And that was AFTER we had found everything else in the game, including getting Cupil to his final ultimate form! Yeah.... we ownzed.

If Link to the Past or Link's Awakening have been mentioned, I second them. They're both awesome games, but Link's Awakening definately earns my respect for its awesome story. Man.. *recalls the Link-at-mightnight conversation* |

I only have one game that could be worthy of such a title that comes in mind, that game is Gardian Heroes on Sega Saturn. More then 56 character to choose from in battle mode, up to 8 players in that mode, about 7 differnet endings, all with a different moral (I still have 2 endings I haven't figured out how to get), More then 60 ways of getting to finish the game (every level you complete, you need to choose the path for the next one), Uber-cool anime-like jazzy music, a freaking golden warrior a.k.a. DA KILLIN MACHINE (well, not really). Unique leveling system... Ok, I'll stop there, I ain'T gonna start to name all the 56 characters you can choose from
The more I think about it, the more I want to play again X_X |

I have never heard of this game that you speak of BWS-1, but the more that you speak of it, the more it intrigues me. I'll keep my eye out for it. Sounds like it's a really good game.

If you have AIM, or MSN, AND, most importantly, a lot of internet time to spare, I can send you the intro movie of the game I downloaded from a site I forgot the name (it has basicl everything about everygame, I got the intro movie of Burning Rangers too on Saturn and All the Lunar 2 movies)
[EDIT] OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 I'VE FOUND A SEGA SATURN EMULATOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AT LAST!!!!! THE 30 GAMES I HAVE WILL BE REVIVED!!!!!!!!!!!!! (cause my 2 saturns are dead X_x) All I need is the original OR copy of the game cd, and the emulator! and, a P4 1.2 Ghz OR better. This lil saturn really is a bitch to emulate. I think it really is the hardest of all. MWAHAHA at long last, I have found the emulator for THE best console ever made!!! (for the games of course, but that's just my opinion)
Go HERE for a review of Guardian Hero and for a link to GiriGiri emulator (althought I suggest you SSF Alpha 0.06, it has more compatibility
Quote: | Remember the fun you had with your buddy beating up punks in Target Renegade or Double Dragon? Remember how stunned you were when you then saw Streets of Rage? Guardian Heroes is at least three steps further on in both style and gameplay. |

I have to agree with BWS. Guardian Heros was in fact a great game. The first game I ever had on the Saturn.
Thinking of Saturn makes me think of my favorite game on the Genesis and it's sequal on the Saturn.
Has anyone ever heard of Target Earth. What a great game that was for the Sega Genesis. Very very very hard game. It's not often I can find another person that has actually beaten the game.
The sequal to this God sent of a game did come out on Saturn, but only import. It was called Assult Suit Leynos 2. What a incredible game. Only problem, it was way to short and way to easy. But it was fun b/c the tons of weapons you could get for your Assult Suit and multiple suits you could use. By why the loss of challenge from the first one guys. What's up with that.
This is one of the best side scrolling shooter style games out there guys. I rank Target Earth up there with Gunstar Heros. Although I will not nominate it b/c I know it won't win. I do erge anyone that is interested in that style game to check it out on an emulater or if you still have a Genesis, then check it out on there. If you can find it.
Please, if someone else has played one or both of these games... back me up here will ya.
OK, Tally, we have the following:
Castlevania SOTN
Chrono Trigger
FFVII
FFX
Gunstar Heros
Ico
Skies of Arcadia
Tetris
Zelda: Link to the Past
Come on. Where is the second for PSO. Do I hear it. You know it needs to be up there. So just say it already. If you haven't seconded a game yet, second this one. I have seconded 2. I have to stop now. |
