hey, I could do what John Q. did, come over and take the Hospital hostage so she can have bran new stomach! ... sorry `bout that <_<

What are the options? Curing her cancer or removing the ill stomach and put a new one? ... I don't think the last option if very cheap, but I cross all my fingers that whatever they do, it will succeed

my mum had cancer of the womb, she had to have an hisorectomy and has check ups every year, it didnt spread luckily they caught ti just in time thanks to her smear test

I am very sorry about your sister but I am glad shes feeling better. I don't really pray, but I'll keep her in my thoughts. I will rub my Unitarian Chalice for her. It brings good luck ya know. Rev has one too, mines smaller. Eat mashed potatos they ALWAYS make me feel better! Very Happy

I dont pray either but her surgery is in about a week but they gave her medicine that helps out the pain she has. ::happy sigh of relief:: I really do think she is gonna be fine :anime:

You know me Kittenofsences I don't pray but I wish her the best of luck and if I could I would give her my above average imune system and all the other qualities that have helped me get through my surgeries with both ease and speed. but, seeing as I can't do that for her I will put my otherworldly conflicts aside and pray that your sister defeats the cancer.

Hello Kit. I wish the best for your sister and hope it works out. My guess is that the tumor is probably stage I or II, encapsulated (like a rubber ball, not punctured) and not attached to a major organ like the liver. If the tumor is only in the stomach/ stomach lining, the surgeon can remove the mass and reconstruct part of the stomach. She'll probably have to be fed intravenously for a few days to a week, depending on how well the surgery went, and a tube will probably be inserted into her nose down to her stomach to relieve pressure and drain stomach contents to rest it (don't worry, it's very temporary). Also, they will give her GREAT IV meds to keep her comfortable, probably something which she can control, for at LEAST the first few days. Depending on the type of cancer and how advanced, she may have to do a short bout of chemotherapy, but it's MUCH better than the alternative. God willing (YES, I do pray) everything will be all right. Wishing you luck and prayers! Smile
