I just finished watching the entirety of Trigun for...I think it's the fourth time since it came into my posession in February. And yet, for all that, the pure brilliance of this series still amazes me. I have seen few stories, in any medium, which match this series for sheer power, but I have seen even fewer who can equal the intelligence and the complexity that is shown in these twenty six episodes. The story picks up fast and hard from the very beginning, but you don't realize it until a good ways into it, when they look back, and all of a sudden dozens of little pieces, unnoticed before, fall loudly into place. And that's before you even hit the halfway point. Watch this, and you are in for the ride of your life, whether you like anime or not. Trigun has earned the Mythrallen Seal of Excellence.

I'm sure there's another topic on this somewhere, so feel free to lock it <_< |

hrm..... I have seen a few episodes of it and to be perfectly honest I was never really impressed by the series. Granted I only watched it on Cartoon Network and the fact that it was Dubbed tends to kill most anime's shown on television for me. |

Man with No Name trilogy is the best trilogy ever and YES I'm saying it's better than Star Wars.
Ennio Morricone and Clint Eastwood should have man babies..They'd rule us all. |

-raises hand-
What about Gundam? Every series has something to bring to the table, I'd go into it, but I suck at that kind of thing. I just love all Gundam series (SD had two good traits: they were cute, and you got to see a lot of mobile suits from old series) |

i liked the Gundam series too...but there is something about Trigun that ive found makes it amazing. I agree with Lews. Ive seen the series twice now, due to the fact that i dled the whole series one week about 2 years ago. Its just full of beautiful things and meanings that you discover after you watch it again and again. The thing about gundam is that I pretty much get everything out of it the first time i see it. Dont get me wrong, it gives off much, but i can watch it once and be done with it. Trigun? I can continue watching each episode multiple times.
Another series that i find was much like Trigun would be Cowboy Bebop. Its just the fact that its not completely full of giant machines or super energy weapons (granted...the angel arms...i know) But it keeps it kind of real.
Im done now
That is all |

I liked and disliked the series. For one the whole morality of killing and every thing was interesting. While I agree it is wrong in many cases it is unavoidable much like wolfwood’s philosophy. Vash's is so impractical it can only work for a super being such as him.
Over all I would give it a A- very good but not the best I have seen. |

*sigh*
Those were four EXAMPLES. Theres LOTS of good stuff out there lews, i could write up an ultra mega super list but im lazy and dont feel like spendin that much time. Trigun is alright but theres lots of other good stuff out there.
And Az yes Ennio Morricone=Teh Awesome and The Man with No Name trilogy is by far my favorite western series. |

Tobs...CB is by the same people who did Trigun. Can't you see the similarities?
And Azzy, I agree with Tobs. There's something about Trigun which makes it rewatchable, whereas I've seen Gundam Wing, my favorite of them all, once, and if I were to see it again, I'd probably get bored with it.
And I turn that same point to you, Wolf. Name some series' that you can watch four times in under a year and not get bored with them. |
