Unusual or not well known sports?

I want a list of the most unusual and/or little known sports anyone can think of, just for kicks. A description of the sport would be nice.

Well basically its supposed to be really popular in like europish eastern countries. It's KIND of like baseball and bowling combined. You have these pin things behind the batter. If the pitcher hits the pins then the batter is instantly out. The batter gets a BIG whopper of a bat/giant slab of wood that he uses to deflect the ball. Theres basically one base you run back and forth from the base to where you hit the ball to score points. I dont know all the rules thats how me and my cousins play.

now let's talk about Curling

what a weird idea this was....in essence the Curler is on a long patch of ice with targets painted in the other end...he pushes the teapot looking thing down the ice and the other two guys use push brooms and sweep the ice in front of the teapot....o you gotta score by landing in the point zones

Log hurling is awesome! It is in the Scottish games, along with some other odd games.

Curling is just...odd, I agree.

Cricket sounds kind of cool. I might like that.

La Cross is an excellent game that hardly gets much notice that it should. Two teams hold a ball in a stick with a basket at the end. It plays like soccer in that you gotta throw the ball in the opponents goal. It involves a lot of accuracy, aim and lots of running. But is much very thrilling once you get into it.

Lacrosse is an ecellent game, as is curling, both which I enjoy greatly. Field hockey, which doesn't get as much press as its icy counterpart, is also worthwhile to see played.

And don't forget about Extreme frisbee-throwing! *self explanatory* ^_^

..I'd get into the relatively unknown Equestrian stuff (Dressage, three-day-eventing, show jumping, cross-country, etc) but I think they're a bit -too- well known for this. Just like Rhythm gymnastics is.
