Dissappearing members!!

Ha, I figured that would get someone's attention. This isn't really a problem, just something that me and Therin noted a few times.

See, when someone's writing a post, their name dissappears from the members currently online list. For instance, right now Therin and I are both typing (in seperate areas) but it would look like we weren't on the boards at all.

Uh, if you can fix this, I'm all for it, but it's by no means a priority fix. In fact, if you don't wanna bother doing the work on it then just shrug it off.

Yeah, it doesn't bother me, I just want to know if anyone else sees the same thing or if it's just computer schizophrenia for Azzy and me.

this actually depends on the length of the post

the sessions are based on activity, so if you are writing a long post and you don't do anything for like 5, 10, 15 minutes, the system doesn't think you are online anymore.

to change this, you can click preview every once in a while when posting so the server knows you are still around.

That SHOULD be the issue. If you are posting and not spending a lot of time on your posts, then there could be another issue.

That makes sense, not clicking any forum buttons for 5 min would count as being inactive.

Yeah, I lost a long post that way. It signed me off. Ooooh, was I mad! Mostly at myself, though, because I forgot to copy and paste it to prevent that from happening.
