Yes it is a "real" language, but it's not really object oriented. It's kinda like JavaScript (not to be confused with Java which is an OO language) where it kind of simulates OO programming.

I personally feel that VB is as good as any other OOP or Procedural programming language ... which is to say; not very. Functional paradigm is where you get into badass programming. I would much rather build a major system in LISP than have to deal with building code in C or VB. |
