I myself can't wait but they best to be dying Lois Lanes hair.
I gave the comic book movies the benefit of the doubt when they tried to turn Doc Ock into some kind of Mr. Freeze with a score to settle...Which is actually a Mr. Freeze. Only he was making a sun...Not ice...Yeah.
Either way I hate Superman as a person or super-hero but I love him as a comic...It's a love-hate relationship.
Like Gambit...He's a wuss with a crappy power but ya gotta love the cajun retard. |

There was a spread on the Super Man Returns game on Xbox 360 being slated for release around the same time as the movie in the newst Game Informer. I was very impressed - they really seem to have the right spin on Superman. But youll never guess whose making it.

If you ask most longtime gamers what the worst game ever made is, you'll likely get a variety of responses. Some might say Atari's E.T., while others might pick something more recent, such as either game in the Big Mother Truckers series. However, there's a good chance that most of the people you ask will mention Superman 64, a game that drew the ire from comic book fans and hardcore gamers alike. The game may have been terrible, but with a major motion picture coming out next summer, it's no surprise that another one is on the way. Will it be able to break the Superman curse though? From what we saw at a recent behind-closed-doors presentation of EA's Superman Returns, the answer appears to be a resounding "yes."
The game is being developed by EA's Tiburon studio primarily for the Xbox 360 (although it will appear on all of the current generation systems, too), the first time the studio has created a non-sports game. While they're working closely with Bryan Singer, the film's director, they've also taken a lot of inspiration from the comic books. Apparently, the team has also taken advantage of their history creating the real-life Supermen found in the Madden NFL series, as they're planning on using the 360 game's character model in Superman Returns. Does Patriot Tom Brady play Clark Kent?
From what we saw in the brief tech demo, the game is a free-roaming, mission-based third person action game in the same vein as Grand Theft Auto (though with more tights and capes). There are nine distinct districts in the game's Metropolis, each with its own unique theme. Being the most powerful man on the planet means that you're usually pretty busy, so you won't be stopping any muggings or rescuing cats that are stuck in trees. Instead, you'll be doing stuff like battling giant robots and saving the world from criminal masterminds.
Superman will possess all of the attributes we expect him to, such as the ability to fly and use a variety of super powers. Flying allows you access to just about anywhere in the game's world, and the developers didn't try to put any artificial roadblocks in your way. You'll be able to visit any part of the city right from the beginning, and we were told that there will be plenty of mini-games and side missions to be found.
During the game's large scale combat sequences, you'll need to use more than just your fists and flying abilities. Superman will be able to use his heat vision, freezing breath, and super speed to take on all comers. You can also combine powers to make certain situations easier. If there's a fire, just freeze a pond, lift it out, and use your heat vision to melt it. To keep you from abusing the powers in combat, however, the developers will be including a stamina system. Your stamina goes down the more you use them, and beating enemies will be tough if you don't let it build back up.
Although we only got to see a brief tech demo, Superman Returns looks like it'll be one of the better superhero games in recent years. At the very least, it'll be infinitely better than Superman 64, although that really isn't very much to ask. You can be sure that we'll bring you more on the game as soon as we can. |

The game sounds a lot like "Ultimate Spiderman"
I just hope it's longer...Though US was da shizzle it was ungodly short.
I'm hoping for the best. With X-men and Spider-Man being such good movies (The second ones...The first of each were kinda iffy for me) Superman should be easy to pull off as long as they do it right.
Unfortunately, it looks like there's going to be a young Clark Kent so we're going to have to go through his back story which seems to not include Lana Lang.
Soooo, it's going to be Superman: The Movie which will ALSO include the Marlon Brando projection from the first movie that you saw in the fortress of solitude.
So, I dunno. If this is a remake of the old Superman movies maybe I'll end up saving my $6.50 (I'm a student suckas!) and go watch the old Superman movies. (I said Movies cause I can't resist General Zod in Superman 2) |

Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor...I like that idea. There's just something inherently evil about him. |

Bleh, as far as I'm concerned if it doesn't tie in with the Smallville history, then I say fack it to H E Double Hockey Sticks. The original (Reeves) movies were all hokey as shazbot, and they've spent 5 years sculpting the Superman history, and done a good job in my opinion (Smallville fanboy) and I think that Michael Rosenbaum is the best Lex evar!!!!one And I also think that Tom Welling should be the next "movie" superman. |

Do not insult Chrisopher Reeves! He can make the most hokey concepts seem neat.
Ironically, I have had trouble with Smallville...I just haven't been able to get into it, and It's seemed like Superman meets the OC...(I've been trying to give it a chance, though...) |

Smallville goes against all THAT I KNOW of the Superman comics so I say BLASPHEMY!!!
And Kevin Spacey is a PERFECT fit IMO! |
