Its that time of year again, an no not Christmas. I know a lot of us are involved in finals right now or are in the week leading up to it. So oppressed college students of PO unite! We'll cry on each others shouldes and eat comfort food!
As I will be doing after my Greek Exam next week. T_T That thing is going to kill me since with the three papers and two tests I have between.
Anyway, I just wanted to wish everyone good luck. |

UltraLucky's seem to have a pretty good run of things so far, just need to maintain my grades and I should be good. So -hopefully- I won't bomb my finals T.T

Just pulled an all-nighter studying for my Industry and the World Economy final, plus finishing up my paper on the findings of "time famine" in my home town for Cultural Anthropology.
The final was everything I'd thought it would be, which meant in the space of about 45 minutes I had handwritten two-and-a-half pages. Then went right over to deliver my paper in Cultural Anthro, and now waiting for my sociology review to start up. Then I have nothing till Tuesday and the Sociology final.

That's a pretty good position to be in. I'm the sadistic type in that I never really freaked out about Finals Week, I usually looked forward to it because it was, for me, a week of significantly less stress, and it represented the end of the insanity that is college and the beginning of a much needed restful period. My mindset was that all I have to do is to study, and the test will be over in two hours, so it kept me with less stress than usual.. I also found a particular joy in counting down until my finals were over and vacation began.
What WAS frustrating at times was when instead of a final, I would have to do a paper...or even both. While papers can be nice sometimes, I found that I often just preferred taking a test because, like I said above, it was over in two hours.
Just some thoughts though. Good luck to everyone who will be partaking in finals in the coming weeks! |

I've got two days (with a party I can't miss in there) to do a paper, homework questions for 6 chapters, a project, and a take home final exam (it sounds easy but it's time consuming. then the day after I have a website due and then I take my final exams the next day and the day after that, I'm on a plane to come see you guys ^_^ |

Woo! Just finished two finals, and about to go take a third today. Already finished American Government, a class that posed me significant problems, for some reason, and just finished Accounting, which I have learned, over the course of the semester, to hate.
Sadly, I missed my GPA goal once again as I am pretty sure I got a C in accounting, with the way the grade for it is calculated, it was impossible for me to get above a C even with a 100 on the final, but I needed below a 45 I think to get below a C. Ah well. In about a half hour now I have Global Issues, which is going to be fun, so long as I don't completely fail the final going to get a B in there, probably. Two hours of essay writing, woo!
Then I get to work near 40 hours over the next few days, including today soon as I finish, instead of getting time to study for my next two finals on tuesday. |
