We're having quite a party over here, though the only PO here besides me is Oka. Lots of Latin dancing, since we have a lot of Spanish people around here (Spain Spanish of course). We also did all the new year luck stuff.
- Eating 12 grapes after the clock hit 12
- Wearing red underwear and garters
- Stepping in with the right foot
- Keeping a suitcase by the door and then running out with it after the new year has started
- Whatever else people did 
Yeah, the Spanish are a superstitious bunch, but you love us.
So, the point of this thread....

Nothing rings in the new year quite like hearing Queens "We Will Rock You" as lead by bagpipes. Happy New Year from Edinburgh where I've gotten drunk with my family, spoken Irish with the locals, thrown up the dinner I had with my family, parties some more, and listened to the Red Hot Chili Pipers! (look them up, you won't be disappointed!)

No interesting customs happened last night, I don't think. I helped a dude build a cone bra out of new year's party hats. X)! So it's a new custom!

Ok, a little back story. The town I live in is 1/4 American and the rest is German. The Army base put on a fireworks display at midnight that I can see from my house. However, there is apparently no laws forbidding the use of fireworks in city limits here. So...
Akila and I went upstairs to watch the Army's fireworks and ended up mostly watching the German's fireworks, which put the Army's fireworks to shame!
They sell fireworks at the gas station!!!
Combine gasoline, high explosives, and beer and you've got yourself a recipe for either disaster or a whole lot of fun!

I, unfortunately, did not eat my 12 grapes this year. So I hope that 2008 turns out great for me.
As for what I did on New Years...me, UP, Tobs, and one of his friends rocked out with the Mighty Mighty Bosstones up in Providence, RI. As with every other Bosstones show I've been to, it was a blast and a good time was had by all...except for the guys who started a bar fight right in front of us.
