I saw the first DVD at a friends palace, and I'm hooked now. DAMN YOU REECA!

It's like YuYu Hakusho, only I don't hate the main character, with a little Tokyo Underground thrown in for good measure.

Uh.... which is only helpful if you've ever seen either of those. >_>;;

This kid is the sole heir to, as they say, the "shinobi of the shinobi". The most seceretive of all ninja clans. It reminds me of YuYu, because he has a bunch of friends who join him, most of which try to kick his ass when they're first introduced.
It's better than yuyu, though, because I don't despise the main character.
I say it's like Tokyo Underground, because he's trying to protect this one girl, and a lot of the characters have elemental powers.

Shoo..Just cause I asked don't mean nothin. Just the review lacks some sustanance.

It's like saying Berserk is a story about a guy who plays with his sword alot around other men... He always has a smile on his face as he rams people from behind and they squeal at his invasion. There are times when emotions conflict on this battlefield but when you're sleeping with the enemy you don't have time to consider your broken heart.

See? Berserk is now a gay anime porn as opposed to the testosterone driven mass that it is.

I would have written a real review, but I'm bad at those, and was hoping someone who had seen the whole thing would come along and elaborate for me.

but BASICALLY that quote from the kid is the gyst of what i've seen.

Powers are as follows (that i know of):

Recca can call fire from his hand.
Thisone ninja friend of his (whose name escapes me)has this wrist guard that gives her power over wind (she also has the unofficial power of gratuitous pantyshots). In one episode it takes over her mind, and she fights everyone.

Also, there's this dude with an ice sword who keeps trying to kill Recca. But i've only seen him in a couple episodes so far.

One of the more important characters is this girl who has the power of healing, and Recca takes it upon himself to protect her. Actually, that's the gyst of the plot right there. The relationship between Recca and whats-her-face.
There's also this politician guy who's trying to kidnap the girl, so he can unlock the power of immortality from her healing abilities.
