OMG, me playing music? - no way ...

Yup, I found that I had a hidden, possibly long forgotten but only latly awaken, passion for playing Xylophone! yup, I'm working on doing the ''Bells of Avalon'' Xylophone part, and when I started yesterday, I could do the first part almost naturally, suprisingly without too much efforts. O_o, either xylophone is uber-easy to learn or I really have it in me, as a raw natural musical talent



Once I get to do the Bells of Avalon, I'll try posting it here, so you can hear my erm, talent ^^;;

Xylophone isn't all that hard to me, because all the notes are right out there in front of you. To me the hardest thing to play would have to be a woodwind instrument. So many fingerings for different notes. AAK!

well, all i know is that if i were given a second chance to change from playing my viola to somethin else, i think i would take that chance. I think that if i did play somethin else, i would probably play drums, because i have near-perfect to perfect beat. But alas, i cant get pitch out of drums, so i'll just stick with my good ol Viola...the outcast of the string instruments

wow cool BWS! I luv the xylophone... its a very unique insturment and seems easy. Its also very fun... weeee post the music!

Xylo is easy if you can remember the layout and can learn how to play four notes at once. with some very interesting riffs and runs. It's actually very difficult to play well.

Woodwinds are hard, but try playing a trombone perfectly. It's mind-boggling.

I'm suprised by the simplisticity (err is that even a word?) of it, but I can't remember the layout, really I'm not much of a musician, so I'll stick with Xylophone and I'll leave the trombone to the pros ^^;;

Now if only I could manage to play with the 2 sticks instead of one, it's so annoying it feels like trying to type fast with one hand <_<;;

All you have to do is learn how to roll your hands through things. It'll be a matter of method and placement, and then you'll be banging along with four mallets in your hands.

Everyone could play snare, but since I was the only one that could play anything else, I always got stuck on the bells! Then again, I also got to do timpani. And eventually set, which has since sprung into a forbidden love...

I think we all would like to be able to play set... or at least some part of drums.

But I only have a little skill in trombone. Maybe when I'm older and have more free time or something...
