Adventure Bosses - Got an idea

I wanted to run this by you guys.

I was thinking that for bosses of adventures... like final bosses could be controlled by the person that created the adventure. As long as the story isn't favored toward that character. Which is why I won't fight the final boss in this one, but I can make him like an NPC...sorta... and react to what the people who are fighting him do. The one thing about this is we have to make sure to post without our siggies and make it so people know that the boss is doing the actions... thoughts? The cool think is that this would give the boss a consistant personality that the creator of the adventure could create. (that was redundant wasn't it).

For example. We are nearing the fight with the Dark Rune Mage in BF. I would post responding to the fighters reactions for the Dark Rune Mage.

Figured that something like that was going to happen, though I think that at times, it'd be cool to have another otaku be the boss. Case in point: What if we decided that we needed to storm Raynes' castle?

Point taken. But Rayne is an otaku, so he would defend himself as with any other Otaku vs Otaku battle.

What about NOCs (Non-Otaku-Characters?)

yes... in a way.

The Dark Rune Mage was a character I just made up to go with the story. So he's not an otaku. But insted of making it like the regular enemies... where anyone can just walk up and hack and kill it, this one is controlled by the maker of the quest to make it more interesting.

Great idea, is it possible to extend this to any NOC that we find we need?

I like this idea as well. I would be fine with you controling the Rune Mage, Shino. It IS your quest after all, and you DID make him up. This is a good idea. As far as non-boss people go... I guess I would say that those can be taken care of in the normal manner. I mean, the CROUS worked very nicely just as they were. Good idea Shino!

Agreed... Let's do that then.

The creator of the adventure will control the boss and give him actions and dialog as a normal character.

As for the other enemies we may encounter. We will leave it that way unless the enemy is of large importance to the story and the creator of the quest deams it necessary to take control of the enemies character.

On that note. I will now take control of the Rune Mage's character in the black forest.
