I'm sick of people blaming videogames for stuff.
Hey parents... WATCH WHAT YOUR KIDS ARE PLAYING.
Ultimatly if YOUR kids are stupid enough to copy a video game, YOU ARE TO BLAME!
take some freaking responsibility! |

I read that story a week or so ago, its total bullshit. Don't blame the parents, no it’s not their fault. Their job is to instill kids with morals and a sense of decency.
But some of the stores only pulled it out of respect for the family, which means it will probably be back. |

Welcome to the real world, where we never take the blame, but throw at somebody else and let them deal with it for you! It's the same with other forms of media, they're the ones causing all this violence. I mean, on some level, yes these violent "things" have to share their part of the blame, the ideas have to come from someplace, but they're not the root of the problem. The parents, the schools, the friends, they're the ones to blame. They're the ones who cause the child the rebel against them, sometimes in this horrible way. Just remember, it's not just one thing that is to blame, but everyone. |

I gotta say, growing up in the military one thing we were taught is that our actions could damage our parents' careers. It didn't mean we couldn't be kids, but it did mean we should have respect for others and not be destructive and act with malice.
Much in the ways of the older days that when the child did something it reflected on the family. It's easy to blame a faceless culprit. To shift the responsibilities off yourself to something that just can't strike back. Worse yet, it's media blaming media. I love how sickeningly ironic that is. |

Read some dirt about this one the internet.
Quote: | Peter Joyce QC prosecuting told the court that the defendant had planned to rob his younger friend to help repay a drugs debt.
Mitigating, Rod Price, said Leblanc was "a happy boy and popular pupil", had received good reports from teachers and had never before been in trouble with police. |
1) The killer was a drug addict whose mother had thrown him out of the house on several occasions. Yet the media portays him as a "happy boy everyone liked".
2) Turns out the killer was borrowing the game from the victim, he didnt even own the game. Wow. Thanks Mrs. Pakeerah. For being an idiot. |
