ah, as school aproaches again the feeling in my stomach is unlike it has ever been...yea it felt really cool starting junior high...but now, its high schoo...im not scared or nervous...just, curious.
I have several freinds that go to osborne and all that...but im moving. still in osborne district but moving. anyways, highschool is different than middle school....as in everything amplifies...the work, the effort, and the concentration...im pretty sure ill have no problem there at all, but like i said, im just curious...

its a lot different. a lot different. it starts off kinda shitty, just like middle school, but by the time you get further along it gets a lot cooler. A LOT. its a bit harder, but offers a lot more freedom.

smitha didnt let anybody do anything...it sucked...teachers writing you up for being out of area with out a pass before the freakin bell rings.

the only thing I liked about my highschool years(witch was only 2 years ago) was I knew how to make people do stuff I needed done one way or another I had the first string football team inmy pocket along with a few other key students I saw as good toys. I loved it for the most part. but a good amount of people were a pain too though

High school is where all the people who were cliquey in middle school start distancing themselves away with their friend group. Luckily, there will be people in high school who also realize how silly being cliquey is and will do much better. Classes get marginally harder each year but if you have excellent teachers, then you shouldn't have too much trouble.

*sigh* I remember HS... Not always easy or fun, many people feel threatened because it's a LOT bigger and the whole "big fish in a small pond, not knowing about the ocean" thing sometimes makes kids cruel and shallow to not-so-cool kids, but keep in mind, WE (and I hope I speak for others on PO) will be behind you and you can vent as needed!

Ahem...er... that's a bit...uhm JADED for someone so young, neh? I'm glad you were a go-getter and something of a leader, and I think you'd do great in business or politics because that is how the adult world works (like it or not, fair or not) but were you able to act like a kid when you were young? (PLEASE don't take this as censure or criticism, it just sounds like you grew up REALLY fast.)

Happo, you speak with wisdom garnered from a few years in the trenches. Is it really true that the manipulative will be the ones to succeed, or do the nice guys actually have a chance?

Deathstalker: Sometimes it's nice to have some people in the back pocket in case you need them, but hopefully it was because you were friends, not because you had dirt on them or something like that...

To Silver Adept Three years in the Army and a few years in the medical field will do that to ya. Oh, and yeah, usually the most vicious/ ruthless/ obsessed/ dedicated/ relentless will succeed. NOT necessarily a bad thing, but so easily channeled to selfish gains without regard for others. *steps on soapbox* But then, we wouldn't have VanGoh, DaVinci, Einstein, the trans-continental railroad, the coast-to-coast interstate highway, etcetera, etcetera. *steps off soapbox and gives it a good kick* Of course, you also wouldn't have Enron....
ANYWAY... Akira, (though it IS cliche-ish) try to be yourself and go for what YOU are interested in as well as checking out what your friends are in to. (who knows...you just might suprise yourself and like something completely off your usual radar.) Theater , Art , Music , etc.
But again, know we'll be here to listen to you vent!

I'll agree with the "be yourself" thing. For the most part, I hung around people I was comfortable with, and eventually I built a fiarly good-sized base of friends, acquaintances, and a minion or two... but not too many, as I fear leadership.

I'll say dedication is definitely a good thing, manipulation and obsessiveness can land you in trouble.
