we don't condem the internet because the good outweighs the bad.

I'm not trying to sway one way or another here cuz I'm on the fence. While on one side, I hate to have K-Chan come home and watch her get so distant and so depressed just from seeing her brother. On the other side, I used to play sports so I know how things go down.

The drive of coaches, parents, and teammates is never going to change. This is a huge problem with contact sports because they can get violent by that drive. Granted non-contact sports have the same problem, just that contact sports are more prone to it.

And yet it happens frequently. Generally I say boo to contact sports.

As for the drive, there's no hope there.

As long as everyone follows the rules, wrestling is accualy one of the safest sports. its got the highest instance of bruises bloody noses and scratches, but the rate of realy devistateing injuries is realy low, ive only had one since i started in 8th grade.(senor now) granted it was one of the worst injuries i have ever had, but im walking again now. the instance of carrer ending injuries is probably lower than football or futbol.

and kchan, i must have read your post wrong Sad sorry about the misunderstanding.

It was only a matter of time before buda saw this post. ^_^ He knows alot about this sport and way of battle. like he said it's usually not about injurng your opponent, as long as the rules are followed there won't be any, there are guidlines, and precejures to wrestling the more reckless you become while doing it the more you end up getting injured. Great jumping scouts, 125 is so not weight for wresting. I weigh 120 my friend Vanessa can pick me up and she's 4'3 yeah the couch is a dumb ass, -teh boken to the head!-

Rules aren't going to stop a pin from going wrong or a flailing arm from taking out an eye. And I don't know the statistics, but you're probably right about football having more career-ending injuries, they slam into eachother every two minutes. Like I said, I've got a thing against contact sports, not just wrestling, football included. I do have a larger issue with wrestling though.

In football, though ramming into eachother may be a crucial part, it's not the whole game. And they slap on more than one piece of safety equipment. I also don't like the idea that you're pinning someone down as a sport. I did that once, cept they called it dry rape instead of wrestling.

Bashing aside, if your passion's in the sport, go for it. I'll just be glad I wasn't on the sideline cheering when someone gets hurt.

Note, this wasn't directed at Buda.
