I'll say this:
Davy Jones is definitely going down on my list of all-time great movie villains. Phenomenal job with him. Both in acting and special effects.
Also, the voodoo chick with the really bad "yah mon" accent? Sexy.
...
Also, I feel physicially ill after being force fed so much fan service. I puked a little in my mouth during that guy from 21 Jumpstreet's last scene.
...course it may have been the super sized Icee that I had. No... definitely Jack Sparrow. Yep. *burp* |

I think GAAZ pegged it. It's a romp not an epic. Way too much Turner and not enough Sparrow for me. I loved the makeup/CGI on the Flying Dutchman's crew. Jones is a total badass. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens in the next one. I think I want to go see it again though. |

Well if you all didnt catch on to what's happened, and what will happen, I think I did. I wont let it be known out here, but I do believe I have it figured.
I really enjoyed it, and it is a good Part 2 of 3. Plot was thickened, characters were developed, good action, good effects, I was happy. Was it the best movie of all time? No. But then, I'd rather know THIS was the top box office weekend of all time above Shrek II. |
