Whoa...I'll agree with Reaper that I knew PETA was crazy...but not THAT crazy. Seriously...they're against animals as pets? Well then what the f**k are we supposed to do with them? Leave them on the street somewhere?
It's funny...they don't agree with animal testing. And yet I don't see them volunteering to be tested on to save the animals... |

Here's my whole thing on killing animals for food. I'm for it. If I were to go veggie, it would strictly be for my health, not because I protest eating a burger. Scrum, I applaud what you said, but animals don't exactly have the same living standards as we do. For all we know, they may enjoy being covered in piss n sh*it and vomit. Hell there are some sick people out there who do too. An animal that's born into captivity doesn't know any better, and so they live their lives as well as they can. When you're raised to live in a certain environment, you naturally learn to tolerate, and eventually you learn to enjoy it. A pig at a pig farm lives a fat happy filthy life then ends up as ham, which makes me fat and happy. See? Now if someone came along and said "Well, you're primed and ready to go, how was your life?" I'd say "I'm fat and happy, and ready to go." Of course that's because I don't really fear death all that much. It's a perfect circle

Those are exactly my feelings as well, so very well said. I don't believe in cruelty, but I do believe in the food chain.
Interestingly enough, I recently gave up all forms of meat for Lent. It's actually not as hard as I thought it would be, and I am actually enjoying it. Also, part of the reason WAS health related...I eat waaaay too much meat... |
