Well, yeah, the comic had a lot to do with anarchy, but keep in mind that they were under totalitarian rule, and not a democracy o_O
I hope they didn't tone it down too much. That would spoil it totally. |

I don't suspect that they did. While they don't specifically mention anarchy in the movie, it's pretty obvious that that is what is going on.
Also, did you know that Alan Moore actually asked to have his name taken off all of this? There were some issues between him and DC comics, and I think it had to do something with the fact that HE thought that this was watered down too much. |

o__O
I am kind of frightened now. Although I have heard tales of Moore being a picky bastard.
I guess I shall have to just go see it for myself. (well...I've been wanting to anyway !) |

Apparently, he's had his name taken off all the movies that were done to his comics. Or at least most of them. With this one, he actually signed his money over to David Lloyd. |

I thought it was a good movie. I can see how some aspects were watered down. |

I don't blaim Moore for wanting his name taken off movies based on his comics... League of Extrodinary Gentleman was absolute poop!!
HOWEVER!
V for Vendetta was a delight to my eyeballs The choice of cast was spot-on. YAY for ugly british teeth! |

LOL.
Well, I still haven't seen it. But has Yunni's approval now! That must be good for something ^o^
The problem is finding a time when both MAx and I are off so that we can go see it. :p |

I'm about 2/3 through the comic right now, and I must say, I'm a little disappointed. It's not really as great as I thought it would be. I mean, it's good...but I feel like it's missing something. I think I much prefered League of Extraordinary Gentlemen over V for Vendetta.
But then again, that might just be me. I'll probably read it again at some point and probably end up catching things I missed before and like it better. |

I saw the movie a few weeks ago, and I thought it was in-freakin-credible! I didn't know much more than; a guy... in a mask, Natalie Portman... with a shaved head, and tons of stuff blowing up. SOLD! A coupple of my friends I went with had read the graphic novel, and had very few complaints as to the trueness.(is that a word?) As I said, freaking loved the movie from begining to end. I've been wanting to go see it again actually.
As for the anarchy, the movie was about nothing but... just because they don't come out and say "Hey, look! This is anarchy!" doesn't mean it isn't.
Anyway, the movie knocked me on my ass, and I liked it! |

Actually, Zero, one of the people I went with complained that it was way too much about "Look! This is Anarchy!" Different ideas for different people, I suppose. |
