Bi-Country marriage?

From what I understand, once you're married you can apply for conditional permanent residency. After two years, your status is then changed to permanent resident and you get your nice little green card. I believe your fiance will have to register you as his fiancee and you will have to obtain a K-1 visa (nonimmigrant fiancee). As a Canadian, however, you shouldn't have much of a problem. You can always ask your nearest US Consulate/Embassy for help. I think the nearest one to you is in Vancouver.

On what Ming and Cheshire said: The US does not grant dual citizenships to foreign nationals. If you are a natural-born US citizen, you may get dual citizenship with another country. (I have dual US-Irish citizenship through my father and grandfather--I'll explain if you wish.) Depending on the country, you could have some problems, as US citizenship doesn't exempt you from compulsory military service and other such fun. However, to get US citizenship you must renounce any and all loyalties to other countries.
