Satine has a good suggestion. We thought one of my boys had athsma when he was only a few months old so, upon the doctors suggestion, we put a humidifier in the room and his breathing cleared up. To date we haven't had anymore troubles with his breathing and he's now a year old and we don't have to have the humidifier on anymore. Which is good cause it broke. If you're going to get one don't get the cheapest one!
I'm glad to hear Auran is doing better. But, just to be safe I'll continue sending good luck vibes your way!

Yar, the humidifier is a freaking fantastic idea. To back that up, my mom also lovingly dropped a bill on a decent air purifier for his room. We've also done some holocaust style cleaning on the house and vowed to brush out our three dogs once a week.

David did that for the first couple of months of his life...I had asthma really bad as a kid..i still have it but not as bad so they thought he might be going through it as well...luckily everything came out okay and im glad Auran is doing better. ^_^

A lot of controlling athsma/breathing problems is just keeping your house clean. Dust, dander/pet hair, and pollen can be major irritants. But vacuuming regularly keeps them pretty much under control. Also, when you bathe the doggies or get them bathed, see if they have a dander/shedding control shampoo. Supposedly the stuff works wonders (I've never tried it).
FYI, a decent humidifier can be found and Walgreens and the like for about $30 to $40. Replacement filters for most models are pretty cheap, too.
Oh, and one more thing. If you guys have central heating/cooling, make sure you change or clean the furnace filter when you're supposed to. It'll make your electricity bill go down too (since the air handler won't be working so hard).
