I think it is really sad that he is gone.
They haven´t send many of the programs her in Sweden but I got to see some of them.
He allways new what he was doing. If he faceda cobra he didn´t do anything stupid. Sure he made it angry and such but he did it in the right way. Never harming a animal.
Right now my thoughts goes to his family. Will the children remember anything about their father? The great crocodile hunter? |

I think that is an excellant point. Even though he often was in a dangerous situration he was very smart. He knew how to handle the animals and he was always careful with them. |

I think you guys have said much of what could be. I just heard about this on the news this morning.
It's very tragic. But he left behind a legacy. And with any luck... it will be remembered for years to come. |

I was shocked at first as just about everyone else was. Like Kudasai said we really wanted to go see him in person but alas that will never be. I am very fond of the Irwins, since Bindi is that same age as my oldest son, we've all got to watch her grow up right along side her daddy and handling the animals with out fear. I had a very hard time watching anything that had Steve talking. Kuda wanted to watch some stuff that was on, like one of his old shows that documented his life and I was fighting back tears like you wouldn't believe. Even now typing this I am getting upset, but with all that is going on in my life right now I have no control over my emotions either. But that's another story. Steve you will be missed. And to his family, it will get better, he is always watching. |

There was something else I was going to “blog” about tonight but after hearing about Steve Irwin’s passing, I changed my mind. I was always a fan of the Crocodile Hunter. It wasn’t only his funny antics, over the top accent or even his knowledge and love for animals that made us love him. It was his obvious love for life and for his family that made him such a special person to us all. Many people will point at this a say hurtful and mean spirited things like “Well he had it coming “ or “What a fool!” and so on. Those people should be ashamed of themselves. Steve Irwin wasn’t some animal daredevil out there putting himself in danger just for ratings. Steven Irwin was a lover of animals and sometimes was a little too bold for his own good. The animal that finally “got him” (so to speak) wasn’t even all that dangerous for Steven Irwin that is. The strange happenings around his death just prove that when it’s your time...it’s your time. I ask you now to keep his family in your thoughts and prayers because I can not even imagine what they are going though right now. I will always remember Steven Irvin as an inspiration to how to live life to the fullest and live every day like it could be your last. Also take this as a some what semi sweet thought. Steven Irvin died doing what he loved not many get to say that. God bless you Steve Irwin and we will never forget you. The world is a darker place without you.
Never Forget,
Kurry |

I was sad, and suprised when I heard the news but I wouldn't say I was "shocked". He made a career out of messing with very dangerous animals, when your in a high risk occupation its a numbers game. And the fact that an animal that is low on the danger meter showes you can never be sure what they will do.
But I think the world lost an icon of wildlife awareness though, he pored millions into wild life preservation. My condolences go out to his family, and it's sad to think we will never hear his enthusiastic CRIKEY! ever again. |
