I have a question for all you customizers out there...
I've had the game since it came out, and I'm starting to think about finally customizing my guitar. When you guys paint the guitars, do you disassemble them first, or do you just mask off the areas you don't want paint to hit? |

I dissasembled the entire thing and painted it. You could try to mask it but with the fret buttons, whammy bar, strum bar - I'm afraid some paint might get in and stick or ruin the controller. Takes a little longer but I think its better in the long run. |

Nah, I would much rather disassemble the whole thing. I was just curious as to whether that was how everyone did it. It makes the most sense in my mind, I just wanted to see if it was feasible. |

Yeah I'm planning on disassembling. Need to get some cash together first and pop down halfords ro the model shop see what works best, as I dont even know if you can buy the stuff CK used over here. I do like that blue though! |

Ok, 2 serious ideas now. For the guitar I got with the game I'm either going to paint the whole body black or white, then put a spiral on both the front and back, kinda like one of the Penguin's umbrellas. But I'm having trouble deciding if I want it to be white with black spiral, or the other way. The only real difference is the edges would be one color or the other. Now here's a question, will I need to spray on a primer first so my white will show over the black?
Now if I can do this without to much trouble, my second idea will be a bit more complex. I'll get GH2 with the guitar and paint the whole body, again front and back, with an American flag pattern. The toughest part will be the stars, but I think I can do it. Now has anyone used any other paints, or is Krylon Fusion going to become the standard GH custom paint?
Finally, we should start a sub-community. The POGH'S. Of course, that's Pocket Otaku Guitar Heros. Only requirements to belong are that you have to play GH and customize your guitar.
Oh, just thought of one last question. Where do you find the internal wireless mods?? That might be cheaper that buying the $60 wireless V. 60 FREAKIN' BUCKS! GH2 WITH the guitar is 70! |
