Agreed. I am not so big on the sashimi, but damn toro is good. Only had it once, though, and haven't been able to find it since.
I usually stick with rolls. Don't know why, just like most of them better. Eel rolls are good, and sometimes a nice California is nice. Tempura rolls are yummy in my tummy. And crab. Ooooh, crab. |

I'm going to have to agree with Zinka, Sashimi = 0wn
I hate sushi rolls... they make me gag. Sashimi I prefer salmon but tuna is alright and squid is rather tasty but has a funny texture. |

It's fat tuna. Much more tender and tasty than regular tuna.
It's only available in season though, so you have to ask the chef if they have any. |

You know I might have liked sushi had it not been for the seaweed wrapper. There's just something about it I just can't hold down. |

Unagi! is love
So is Toro...and White Tuna and Yellowtail.
For the rolls, my current favorite is either the Volcano or Spider roll (softshell crab). |

I'm not really a big sushi fan. It's not that I don't like it, it's that I just really need to be in the mood to eat it, and I won't actively seek it out. But when I do have it, it's usually pretty good. Recently I had something that was a spicy roll with flash-fried red snapper, and it was one of the best pieces of sushi I've ever had. I also tried something that had eel and avocado one day, and that was really good too.
I've also become a fan of non-fish sushi (did you know that "sushi" does not = fish?). My favorite is sweet-potato tempura rolls. Although I tried a fried garlic roll last time and it was really freakin' good. |

I really like how you can experiment with the different sushi at RuSan's and do it cheaply. $1.00 for 1-3 pieces to give something a try v/ $6-7 for a whole order of something you may not even like.
I've also learned that I don't like mayo on my sushi...
And as an edit to one of my first posts on here...I think its the flash-fried Salmon maki that I like so much, not the tempura (even though that's good too) |

how could I forget Eel!?
its funny...I dont think I'll ever see any fried rolls, mayonaise or much variation here in Tokyo, not as much as I saw in the states.
they keep it pretty staitforward here as far as I can tell....I havnt eaten too much sushi yet...but thats the feeling I get^.^ |
