Well, I'm not a particularly great player, but what I do have success with...
Roy - Although not at quick as Marth, Roy is useful for me because he throws up good damage pretty quickly, and has an excellent moves for clearing people out. Roy was who I beat the fifteen minute Meelee with.
Luigi - Much better in the original than I am now with him, but I can still do some damage, especially with his Up-B move. The timing on that is always the tricky part.
Mr. Game and Watch - You'd be surprised what this guy can do to hurt you. Most of his moves are very effective and throw people quite a distance... |

I was at an all-nighter with a couple friends, and one of them challenged me to a duel, Marth Vs. Marth.
Three lives, and I think it took a full ten minutes before either of us landed a hit. You see, the both of us subscribe to the same strategy with Marth: Roll and Counter. Roll and Counter. Well, as you can imagine, two people just rolling and countering won't get very far.  |
